Blueberry is a fruit shrub which grows up to 2.5m high. It ripens for around 3-4 weeks in July, August and even September – depending on the variety. Blueberry has got dark blue fruits covered with wax. They contain sugar, vitamins: B1, B2, A, C and PP, as well as calcium salt, phosphorus salt and iron salt. Highly nutritive and healthy, blueberry’s fruits act as an inhibitor of aging processes. When blueberries are fully grown up, they still do not fall down the shrubs and do not rot, even during heavy rains.
